The naturally rich soils of Yorke Peninsula allow
AG Schilling & Co’s farming operation to grow a wide range of cereal and pulse crops annually including; wheat, barley, oats, lentils, chickpeas and linseed. We believe all AG Schilling & Co grains are “Sustainable Grains” as we incorporate the most up to date farming techniques to minimised chemical use and environmental impacts while maximising grain quality and soil health.
We operate a “vertically integrated system” by which we grow the grain, store the grain, process the grain and freight the grain. This allows us to offer our clients complete traceability for their product.
The AG Schilling & Co grain processing facility has a total storage capacity of over 25,000t which allows us to store all grain and hay harvested from the farming operation to be processed and sold throughout the year to our customers. As well as grain storage, AG Schilling & Co has extensive grain processing equipment including a range of screen cleaners, gravity table, de-stoner and a colour sorter allowing us to produce a consistent quality product for our customers.
By developing long term relationships with the end users of our products,
AG Schilling & Co is able to better understand; quality requirements, peak usage periods, price points and logistic challenges faced by each of our clients. Understanding our clients allows us to deliver better quality products and build a more sustainable business.
With extensive grain storage facilities, AG Schilling & Co is able supply customers with their grain and hay needs throughout the year. While the majority of our grain and hay is sold in bulk, packaged products are also available upon request.
